About the story:
Reana, our designer, says: "During our honeymoon in Bali, we were fascinated and also slightly confused by the swings in the rice fields and by the sea. The beautiful pictures on Instagram are always spectacular. Next to the swings there are boxes with different clothes that are put on especially for the photos. The swinging only lasts a few seconds, as the crowd naturally wants to take a spectacular photo. We watched this hustle and bustle with delight and enjoyed the rice fields in the quiet spots.
This motif also makes me think back to my childhood. After kindergarten, I went straight home to my swing under the fragrant wisteria. I loved singing back then, but often didn't sing the right lyrics. "Oh, you stupid snail, oh, you stupid snail... on the book, on the book."

Wanderlust Line
The Wanderlust line combines the motifs “Beach walk”, “biking”, “hiking” and “view” – each a small design piece drawn in one line.
Reana, our designer, says: «There are times when we long for places where we can relax and unwind. Often precisely when we can't just leave everything behind so quickly.
These places don't have to be far away, but far enough away to escape everyday life and pursue your passions.
Our Homesickness & Wanderlust collection is based on exactly this feeling. Whether we are longing for a walk on the beach, a bike tour in the mountains, a hike for two - we have captured the various longings on local wood.
Or maybe we are far away and homesick for the mountains. The homesickness line brings us a lot closer to these beautiful moments and fuels our anticipation of the next experience. »
Cutting board rubber feet for the perfect grip
The cutting boards have 4 rubber feet on the bottom. This means that the board does not slip while cutting and stays exactly where you want it.

Design & Manufacturing
Our cutting board was designed by Reana Hostettler-Durrer from Baden and is lovingly made in the supervised Ekkharthof workshop in Lengwil TG, Switzerland. Solid wood is always used, from one or more pieces.
Wood origin
For the oak and beech wood we use wood from the region 50 km around Lake Constance. The untreated walnut wood comes from the USA. All types of wood come from sustainable forestry.

Care instructions for wooden products
This is how your wooden product stays beautiful for a long time:
- Water is taboo – water is, next to fire, the biggest enemy of wood. Please always wash by hand, dry immediately and never put in the dishwasher.
- Oils for protection – Food-grade oils such as linseed oil, sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, etc. are easy to apply. They offer protection but need a few days to fully harden, so oil them and let them sit for a while.
- Constant humidity – Make sure the humidity remains constant, this will help the wood maintain its shape and stability.
- Even exposure to light – Expose the wood to sun and light evenly to avoid unwanted color differences.
- Wood wax for shine – A little wood wax makes the wood shine, but offers no protection against water.
- Avoid extreme temperature changes – Be careful not to expose the wood to extreme temperature changes to avoid cracking and warping.
With these tips, you can enjoy your wooden product for a long time. Have fun with it!

Longer delivery time possible for larger quantities of the same item
For orders with larger quantities (3+ pieces) of an item, we will inform you how long the actual delivery time will be, as we do not always have these quantities in stock. You are also welcome to ask us in advance. On average, 14 days.
Local pickup (free of charge)
You also have the option of picking up your ordered products directly from our store in Baden. To do so, select the "Pick up on site" option during the ordering process.

Delivery times
Unless a different deadline is specified in the item description, the goods will be delivered in Switzerland and Liechtenstein within 3 - 6 working days, and for deliveries abroad within 5 - 10 working days after order confirmation (if advance payment has been agreed, after the time of your payment instruction). Please note that no deliveries are made on Sundays and public holidays. If you have ordered items with different delivery times, we will send the goods in one shipment unless we have made different arrangements with you. In this case, the delivery time is determined by the item you ordered with the longest delivery time.
