Design & Production – Swiss Made with Heart
Our cutting board was designed by Reana Hostettler-Durrer from Baden and is lovingly handcrafted in the supported workshop Ekkharthof in Lengwil TG, Switzerland. Only solid wood is ever used, from one or more pieces.
Wood Origin – Regional & Sustainable
For oak, we use wood from the 50 km region around Lake Constance (Switzerland). The untreated walnut wood comes from the USA. All wood types are from sustainable forestry.

Care & Cleaning
- ✓ Wash by hand with warm water and mild dish soap after use
- ✓ Dry thoroughly immediately – do not let it dry standing up
- ✓ DO NOT put in the dishwasher!
- ✓ Rub with food-safe oil (e.g., linseed oil) or wood butter (e.g., Renuwell) every 2–3 months
Tip: Regular oiling keeps the wood supple, water-repellent, and prevents cracks. More on this in the "Wood Care Note" tab above.

Which size should I choose?
Size S (30x20 cm) is perfect for smaller kitchens, breakfast, cheese, or as a serving board. Size M (39x24 cm) is ideal for cooking, cutting vegetables, and larger quantities.
How do I order an engraving?
Simply write your desired text in the comment field in the shopping cart. We will laser engrave the text on the top right. Delivery time: 1–2 working days. For logos or larger quantities, contact us for a quote.
Is the cutting board dishwasher safe?
No, please only clean by hand with warm water and mild dish soap. The dishwasher will damage the wood and shorten its lifespan.
Where does the wood come from?
Oak: From sustainable forestry, 50 km around Lake Constance (Switzerland). Walnut: From the USA, also from sustainable forestry.
Is wood more hygienic than plastic?
Yes! Wood has natural antibacterial properties due to its tannins. Studies show that bacteria die faster on wood than on plastic. Only proper care is important.

Care instructions for wooden products
This is how your wooden product stays beautiful for a long time:
- Water is taboo – water is, next to fire, the biggest enemy of wood. Please always wash by hand, dry immediately and never put in the dishwasher.
- Oils for protection – Food-grade oils such as linseed oil, sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, etc. are easy to apply. They offer protection but need a few days to fully harden, so oil them and let them sit for a while.
- Constant humidity – Make sure the humidity remains constant, this will help the wood maintain its shape and stability.
- Even exposure to light – Expose the wood to sun and light evenly to avoid unwanted color differences.
- Wood wax for shine – A little wood wax makes the wood shine, but offers no protection against water.
- Avoid extreme temperature changes – Be careful not to expose the wood to extreme temperature changes to avoid cracking and warping.
With these tips, you can enjoy your wooden product for a long time. Have fun with it!

Shipping Switzerland & Liechtenstein:
- Free shipping on orders over CHF 50.–
- Local pickup (Baden, CH) free of charge
Postal shipping (flat rate per order):
- Economy: CHF 9.80 (3–5 business days)
- Priority: CHF 14.80 (1–3 business days)

Longer delivery time for larger quantities:
For orders of 20 or more units of the same item, the delivery time may be longer,
as we don't always have this quantity in stock.
In that case, delivery usually takes about 10 days.

Delivery Times
Unless a different delivery time is stated in the item description, delivery takes 3–6 business days within Switzerland and Liechtenstein. No deliveries are made on Sundays and public holidays.
If you've ordered items with different delivery times, we ship the order together in a single shipment, unless otherwise agreed. In that case, the delivery time is based on the item with the longest delivery time.
