Natalia Samsonova

Natalia Samsonova is a contemporary photographer and visual artist based in Switzerland. She grew up in Moscow in a family of artists, where her passion for art was shaped early on. After training at the Moscow Academic Art School, she worked for many years as a graphic designer and senior designer at Cosmopolitan, collaborating with national and international figures as well as cultural institutions.

Since moving to Switzerland in 2016, Natalia has devoted herself entirely to her own artistic work. Her photography turns landscapes, architecture and everyday details into graphic compositions full of calm, depth and emotion. Her images invite you to slow your gaze down and rediscover the familiar from a new angle.

Behind her work lie themes such as change, new beginnings and the power of perception. Without depicting them directly, personal experiences like migration, home and identity flow subtly into her visual language. The result is work that does not explain, but leaves room for your own thoughts and feelings.
