Wooden boxes with lid – engraving on request

Letters you would never throw away. The photos from your first holiday camp, the ring that only comes out on special occasions: this is what Reana had in mind when she designed the NaniBox in Baden. A wooden box with a lid that can stand on the chest of drawers as a storage box and keep everything together as a keepsake box. It is made at the supported workshop Ekkharthof in Lengwil TG, from solid wood with 8 mm walls. The lid sits on two almost invisible hinges and closes with a small magnet.

Which wooden box fits: S, S-Long or M?

• NaniBox S, 17 × 12 × 7 cm: inside 15.4 × 10.4 × 4 cm. The jewellery box of the three, for rings, earrings and 10 × 15 cm photos. In oak, walnut and maple.
• NaniBox S-Long, 30 × 12 × 7 cm: inside 28.4 × 10.4 × 4 cm. Long and narrow: for pens, charging cables or your phone when it needs a break. In oak, walnut and beech.
• NaniBox M, 30 × 20 × 9 cm: inside 28.4 × 18.4 × 6 cm. The keepsake box for cards, letters and important documents. A5 lies flat inside, A4 only folded. In oak and walnut.

Engraved wooden box as a gift

We laser your own text onto the lid in our atelier in Baden: a name, a date or “Our wedding box”. You have 35 characters, and the engraving costs 29.00 CHF. Choose it on the product page under “Personalisation (engraving)” and enter your text right when you order. An engraved box suits a wedding, a birth or a retirement, and the memories that go with it can move straight in.

As a corporate gift with your logo

To say thank you to your team or your customers, we also engrave your company logo onto the lid, in our own atelier and in larger quantities too. Artist edition: signed wooden boxes

Reana built a music movement into the lid of her NaniBox S that plays “Yellow Submarine”: the “Yellow Submarine” music box. Viviana González Méndez with “Pflanzenwelt” (world of plants) and Natalia Samsonova with “Kuh Auge” (cow’s eye) have each designed a NaniBox S as well. Each of these boxes is signed, and for each one, 100.00 CHF goes directly to the artist. There is also the NaniBox S with the Grimm fairy tale “Sterntaler” (The Star Money) as its motif.

Oak or walnut: where does the wood come from?

Oak is light with a strong grain. It comes from the Lake Constance area, from within 50 km of Kreuzlingen, and therefore from Switzerland, Germany or Austria. American walnut is dark and calm. Both woods come from sustainable forestry. The boxes come lightly oiled. A few boxes are still available in Swiss maple or in beech.
