NaniCube2 – the 6-in-1 wooden game box, made in Switzerland

A design object, an experience – and six games in a single box.
This is where the joy of playing meets creativity – with a little surprise thrown in, of course.

Play on six sides

The NaniCube2 is our lovingly developed all-rounder. On the 6 sides of 16 wooden cubes, two classics, four modern game ideas and creative experiments are waiting for you. Designed by Reana in Baden and made in Switzerland with passion, together with the Weizenkorn Foundation.

You will find timeless favourites such as Mühlestein (nine men's morris) and Mosaik (mosaic), plus four games we developed ourselves – Irrgarten (maze), our modern snakes-and-ladders game, Keine Eile (no hurry), the game of the elements, our dice adventure Cube Runner and the strikingly graphic NaniXO. Many of the boards can be flipped over or rearranged – perfect for trying out your own variations.

The story behind the NaniCube2

Designer Reana grew up with mosaic cubes. That childhood memory turned into a vision: a box that is not only beautiful to look at but genuinely fun to play with. So other board games joined the Mosaik, each with its own little story.

Mühlestein (nine men's morris): the classic – timeless, tactical, simply a must.
Mosaik (mosaic): create patterns, combine colours, let yourself drift. A creative break, guaranteed.
Keine Eile (no hurry): a compact take on «Eile mit Weile», the Swiss ludo classic, inspired by water, earth, air and fire. Together you build a tower in the centre – the balance of the elements.
Irrgarten (maze): snakes and ladders, but a little different. Start on the blue square or the orange triangle – and with a lucky roll you can even turn the board around.
Cube Runner: this game was developed by Jan. A game «out of the box» – lay your own path, change the sequence with dice 5 and 6, pure dynamism.
NaniXO: noughts and crosses or 4x4 – playable on the square surface and freely beyond it. New shapes, new strategies.

Everything else finds its place in the false bottom of the box: instructions, dice and playing pieces in a cotton bag. And the whole thing looks rather good on the shelf as a design object.

The game box is made with great care by the Weizenkorn Foundation – a social enterprise that offers meaningful work to more than 300 people who need support. Since 1979, Weizenkorn has stood for quality, respect and real craftsmanship. We are incredibly proud to have the NaniCube2 produced there.

Care instructions for wooden products

This is how your wooden product stays beautiful for a long time:

Water is taboo – water is, next to fire, the biggest enemy of wood. Please always wash by hand, dry immediately and never put in the dishwasher.
Oils for protection – Food-grade oils such as linseed oil, sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, etc. are easy to apply. They offer protection but need a few days to fully harden, so oil them and let them sit for a while.
Constant humidity – Make sure the humidity remains constant, this will help the wood maintain its shape and stability.
Even exposure to light – Expose the wood to sun and light evenly to avoid unwanted color differences.
Wood wax for shine – A little wood wax makes the wood shine, but offers no protection against water.
Avoid extreme temperature changes – Be careful not to expose the wood to extreme temperature changes to avoid cracking and warping.

With these tips, you can enjoy your wooden product for a long time. Have fun with it!
