Inspiration behind the «Blumentiere» motif
Reana: anyone who knows me knows it – I love ducks. In every colour and shape. A white duck called Bella once lived in my neighbourhood. She waddled through the gardens, quacked away happily and was something of a little guard dog. Sadly her story did not end well: she had to move, and in her new home nobody recognised her.
Little Bella lives on in my memory – and in part in Emma. She embodies joy, playfulness and that special closeness animals can give. With this motif I wanted to give Bella a loving little monument – and all the small ducks out there too.
