The inspiration behind the motif

Reana: «Lappi arrives with the winter – and with him a touch of stillness, light and old stories. The sprigs of mistletoe in his antlers recall a centuries-old custom: whoever stands beneath a mistletoe may be kissed. But mistletoe is more than a romantic symbol – it was once thought to protect against evil spirits and fire, was part of druidic potions, and was regarded as a sacred plant between heaven and earth.»

With his calm gaze and powerful presence, Lappi stands for exactly that: warmth in the cold, light in the darkness, a connection between this world and the magical. This motif is my wintry tribute to nature, myth and the quiet wonder of the cold season.
