Inspiration for the flower animal motif

Reana Hostettler: Mr. Schüch was a dachshund from my childhood neighborhood—rather quiet, but always present. There was something very gentle about him, something reserved, that has stuck with me to this day.

The mistletoe on his head suits him perfectly, in my opinion: In ancient traditions, mistletoe was considered a symbol of protection , magic —and, last but not least, love . Two who meet under a mistletoe are allowed to kiss—a beautiful thought that combines romance with a wink.

With this motif, I wanted to create a small memorial to Mr. Schüch – and to all those beings who touch us quietly but lastingly.
